Elstead Austen Bathroom Wall Light

The Elstead Austen Bathroom Wall Light is part of Elstead’s Austen range. This wall-mounted bathroom sconce pairs a high-shine metal finish with a flared, trumpet-like clear glass shade and is designed to provide localised illumination suitable for placement beside or above a bathroom mirror.

The design highlights a scalloped, fluted glass shade set into a tiered metal collar, a circular backplate with stepped concentric rings and a short horizontal arm with a distinctive spherical joint. It is available in Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel and Polished Brass.

Constructed from metal with a polished finish, the fitting combines reflective metalwork and ribbed glass to create a transitional aesthetic. The clear fluted glass and decorative collar are crafted to emphasise the fixture’s detailing when unlit and illuminated.

The upward-facing shade directs light toward the ceiling to produce indirect, ambient illumination while the ribbed glass softens and fragments the light to create linear reflections across its surface. This makes the Austen suited to ambient and accent lighting in bathroom vanity zones.

The product is intended for hardwired installation behind the wall and carries an IP44 rating for protection in bathroom environments. Please consult the technical specification for lamp type, dimming compatibility and installation requirements; a general 2 year warranty is provided.

At Lighting Design Online we focus on the right outcome: a considered, design-led fitting like the Austen helps resolve both form and function at the mirror. We provide clarity on suitability and project-friendly advice so you can specify with confidence and achieve a durable, well-balanced bathroom scheme.
