Quintiesse Atwater Wall Lantern

The Quintiesse Atwater Wall Lantern is an outdoor wall light from the Atwater range, designed to bring a refined, transitional character to exterior faades. Its rectangular lantern silhouette and tapered four-sided roof reference traditional hurricane lanterns while reading contemporary on a porch, entrance or garden wall. Built for exterior use with an IP44 rating, it is suitable for both residential and commercial locations.

The design uses an open-frame lantern with clear seeded glass in a central internal cylinder, allowing broad light dispersal while retaining a textured, bubbled appearance. The Contrasting matte black frame and distressed brass handle provide a considered two-tone aesthetic. The Atwater is available in Painted Distressed Brass and Black, and in Small, Medium and Large sizes.

Construction is based on EPMM, a resin/stone composite with an anti-fading treatment and enhanced resistance to rust and corrosion, making the range appropriate for coastal conditions. The internal glass sleeve is mounted on a raised circular base within the frame, and the fittings finishes are treated for prolonged exterior performance. Quintiesse supports the product with a five-year anti-corrosion guarantee.

The lantern takes a single E27 lamp up to 60W or an equivalent LED retrofit; a vintage Edison-style filament bulb is recommended to complete the lanterns traditional look. The seeded glass acts as a secondary diffuser, softening the bulbs glow while the open sides keep the lamp visually prominent. This combination makes the fitting equally suited to decorative ambient lighting and practical exterior illumination.

The Atwater mounts via a flat backplate for direct wall installation and is supplied without a lamp. It carries an IP44 rating for protected outdoor use and benefits from the manufacturers five-year anti-corrosion guarantee. For LED replacements, choose an appropriate E27 LED lamp and check dimmer compatibility with the selected bulb and dimmer system.
