The Astro Kos Outdoor Ceiling Light is a surface-mounted exterior downlight from Astro. Its minimalist cubic form and sharply defined edges give the Kos a considered architectural presence suitable for modern facades, porches and covered walkways.

The design relies on a simple, compact cube with a deeply recessed circular aperture that limits glare and frames the light. The Kos is offered in Matt Black and Matt White finishes to suit contrasting or quietly integrated exterior schemes.

Constructed from a durable metal housing such as aluminium or steel with a uniform matte finish, the fixture shows clean lines and minimal visible fixings. A lighter, reflective inner baffle increases efficiency and clarity of the downward beam.

The Kos provides focused, downward illumination from a fixed overhead position, making it suitable for task-orientated exterior zones and for creating pools of light on pathways and entrances. The recessed aperture reduces direct glare while highlighting architectural detail beneath.

This fitting carries an IP65 rating for reliable protection against dust and water jets and includes a 3-year manufacturer warranty. It is surface-mounted to ceilings and designed for straightforward installation; for lamp, driver and dimming compatibility please refer to product technical details or contact our specification team.

At Lighting Design Online we present the Kos as a deliberate choice for clean, glare-controlled exterior lighting. Our guidance helps translate its minimalist geometry into a balanced scheme, backed by professional assurance and project-friendly support to achieve the right long-term outcome.
