Mullan Lighting Richmond Wall Light

The Mullan Lighting Richmond Wall Light from the Richmond range is a minimalist, dual-function wall fitting that combines a compact cylindrical spotlight with a concealed backlight. Its slim rectangular metal backplate and refined geometry suit modern bedrooms and hospitality settings, particularly above headboards where task and ambient light must coexist.

Designed for a clean, architectural presence, the Richmond pairs a directional spotlight with a soft rear glow to create layered light without visual complexity. It is offered in Matt Black and White finishes, both chosen to maintain a pared-back silhouette in contemporary interiors.

Constructed from metal with a matte surface, the fitting has rounded ends on the backplate for a softened profile. The compact spotlight head is mounted on the front face and the backlight is concealed behind the plate, reflecting a considered approach to materials and detail.

The cylindrical spotlight is adjustable for directional task lighting while the concealed backlight provides gentle ambient illumination across the wall. Two discreet push buttons on the front plate operate each light independently, giving control over task and mood without cluttering the design.

Note that the Richmond is rated IP20 and is intended for internal, horizontal wall mounting. The manufacturer warranty covers defects only; please refer to technical documentation for installation specifics and electrical requirements.

At Lighting Design Online we place the Richmond within a design-led lighting strategy: use the adjustable spotlight for focused tasks and the backlight to balance ambience. Our guidance aims to deliver clarity and a quality outcome, supported by project-friendly advice when you need to specify for interiors or hospitality schemes.
