The Flos GloBall Ceiling 1 ceiling light from the GloBall range is a surfacemounted, flushfitting pendant alternative that pairs a handblown opaline glass diffuser with a lowprofile mounting base to deliver soft ambient illumination.

Its distinctive oblatespheroid form reads as a flattened globe; the compact grey mounting base keeps the profile close to the ceiling so the diffuser appears to float and the overall aesthetic remains minimal and undistracting.

The diffuser is externally acidetched, handblown flashed opaline glass that produces an even, matt finish. Construction details include a diecast aluminium threaded ring nut with an alodine plating finish, a 30% glassfibre reinforced injectionmoulded polyamide ceiling fitting and a grey painted diecast aluminium diffuser support.

The opal glass evenly scatters light to reduce glare and create soft shadows, making the fitting ideal for general ambient lighting. The structure accommodates a single E27 lamp (LED or halogen); lamps are not included. The fitting carries an IP40 rating for indoor, dryzone use.
