The Flos Clessidra Wall Washer, designed by Antonio Citterio, is a distinctive wall light from the Clessidra range intended for outdoor wall-washing and vertical illumination. Its waisted, hourglass silhouette provides a considered form that complements contemporary faades and architectural walls.

Form follows function: the fixtures tapered central profile and open top and bottom deliver controlled up-and-down light to wash surfaces evenly. The Clessidra is offered in Grey and Deep Brown finishes to suit stone, brick or rendered exteriors.

Construction is faithful to the original specification: the body is produced by aluminium pressofusion with PMMA diffusers and an aluminium wall attachment with a PA66 cover. The textured, powder-coated appearance resists obvious reflections and adds a tactile quality to the fitting.

Light is delivered as a diffused direct/indirect effect, using high-efficiency lenses specially designed for the application. The open ends and internal optics create vertical illumination with a soft transition at the top and bottom, suitable for ambient faade lighting or for highlighting vertical surfaces.

Practical notes: a wide-range 100240V power pack is integrated into the body and the fitting is rated IP55 for protection against weather. The high-efficiency lenses are bespoke to the product and non-replaceable. The Clessidra is covered by a two-year manufacturers warranty.
