Design For The People Darci Desk Lamp

The Design For The People Darci Desk Lamp, designed by BJRN + BALLE, is a contemporary desk lamp that pairs a minimalist Scandinavian silhouette with purposeful task lighting. Its shallow, flared conical shade and cantilevered stem are composed to sit cleanly over a work surface for reading or desk tasks.

The lamps form uses a slim tubular stem that bends to position the head forward, a flat circular base for stability and a cylindrical joint that allows the shade to be angled. The exterior shows a uniform matte finish while the light, white interior of the shade maximises reflection and softens the beam.

Build cues are straightforward and honest: a slender metal stem, a stable circular base and a gently curved shade finished in a satin-matt surface that reads modern and restrained. The designs Scandinavian influence gives it a clean, architectural presence on a desk or sideboard.

Light is directed downwards for focused task work; the white-lined interior increases usable light on the surface below while the angled head helps position illumination where its needed. The cantilevered arm projects the shade away from the base so the light sits over your workspace rather than behind it.

Practical details include a touch switch for simple on/off operation and a black power cord exiting from the rear of the base. The fitting carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor use. Manufacturers warranty information is provided as a variable 215 years check the product technical details for the exact term.
