The Aromas Globe Bulb is a decorative globe-style bulb from Aromas, defined by a half-dipped, two-tone aesthetic. The spherical envelope shows a frosted upper hemisphere and a matte black lower hemisphere, making it well suited to exposed-bulb fittings where the bulb is both a light source and a visible design element.

Its large spherical form is bisected by a sharp horizontal boundary between the white frosted top and the solid black lower half. The clear, graphic silhouette is intended as a deliberate design detail so the bulb reads as an object within a scheme as well as providing illumination.

The globe is formed from a spherical glass or plastic envelope and terminates in a metallic Edison screw base that fits standard threaded lamp holders. The finishes are applied to the envelope to preserve the two-tone appearance when installed.

The frosted upper hemisphere diffuses light to produce a soft, even glow while the matt black lower coating masks emission in that direction, reducing downward glare and creating a more directional quality. That behaviour makes the bulb appropriate for pendant fittings, exposed sockets and decorative lamps where control of ambience is important. The product is rated IP20 for interior dry zones.

The bulb uses an Edison screw base for direct fit into standard threaded lamp holders; check your fitting for clearance given the large globe form. The product is supplied with a 2year manufacturer’s warranty. Confirm dimming compatibility with your chosen fixture and lamp type, as driver or dimming specifics are not supplied.

At Lighting Design Online we present this Aromas globe as a design-first choice for schemes that need both a considered graphic element and soft, balanced illumination. We provide practical, project-friendly advice on fixture compatibility and dimming so you get the right outcome; that professional assurance and clarity helps avoid common specification mistakes when using exposed decorative bulbs.
