Astro Velo Wall Light

The Astro Velo Wall Light is a decorative wall-mounted luminaire from Astro’s Velo range, finished in white plaster. The design is intended for interior use and provides a restrained, indirect ambient effect that complements considered residential and hospitality schemes.

Formally the Velo is a horizontal, pill-shaped sconce with gently curved ends and a flat front profile. Its minimalist, architectural silhouette is seamless and free of visible external fixings, allowing the fitting to read as an integrated element of the wall.

Constructed in a matte-plaster material, the body is opaque and paintable so the fitting can either blend with the wall or be used as a subtle contrast. The plaster/ceramic construction gives a tactile finish that accepts paint and hides the light source from direct view.

Light is projected through open top and bottom apertures, creating a symmetrical up-and-down wash across the mounting surface. The recessed light source offers indirect illumination for ambient layers and helps to minimise glare while emphasising the texture of the wall.

This product is rated IP20 and is therefore intended for interior, dry-zone applications. The Velo carries a three-year manufacturer warranty. Please refer to the product technical sheet for full information on lamp options, drivers and dimming compatibility, and download the manufacturer’s painting and care guides for finish and maintenance advice.

Lighting Design Online positions the Velo as a design-first choice for interiors where material, texture and ambience matter. We provide practical, project-friendly guidance from lamp selection to placement so the result is an assured, well-balanced wash of light that supports the wider interior scheme with clarity and longevity.
