The Astro Richmond Wall Lantern 200 is an exterior wall lantern from the Richmond range by Astro. The lantern pairs a structured, tiered roof cap with a box-shaped, clear-glass enclosure to give a considered blend of traditional carriage form and modern lines.

Design details include a matte black metal frame, four clear glass panels and a short horizontal arm mounted to a square wall backplate. The Richmond Wall Lantern 200 is offered in multiple exterior-friendly finishes across the range and sits comfortably beside classic and contemporary architecture.

The lantern houses a single, downward-facing E27 lampholder within the glass casing. The clear glass provides near 360 light distribution, making it suitable for ambient illumination of porches, entryways and sheltered patios while showcasing decorative filament or LED tubular lamps.

This fitting is rated IP23, intended for covered or sheltered outdoor locations rather than fully exposed coastal sites. Dimming capability depends on the chosen E27 lamp and the dimmer used; the product documentation lists a number of compatible dimmable E27 LED options. The product is supplied with a three-year manufacturer guarantee; note exclusions apply for installations within five miles of the coast or high-salt environments.

At Lighting Design Online we position the Richmond Wall Lantern 200 as a practical aesthetic choice: a restrained, lantern silhouette that gives clear, balanced light and showcases lamp choice. We provide specification guidance on lamp selection, dimming compatibility and siting to ensure a considered, durable outcome for exterior projects while drawing on the products quality build and project-friendly details.
