The Astro Lynx Ceiling Spotlight is a surface-mounted, directional ceiling light from Astro’s Lynx range. The design pairs a low-profile cylindrical base with a larger tilting cylindrical head, creating a restrained architectural silhouette suited to contemporary interiors.

Formally the Lynx is intentionally minimal: a matte black metal exterior and a discreet pivot give a clean, geometric appearance. The head is larger than the base and the joint is integrated into a notched cutout so the fitting reads as a single cohesive unit when installed.

Constructed in metal with a textured internal reflector, the Lynx houses an integrated 12.1W LED and a recessed aperture that helps reduce direct glare. The lamp delivers directional accent and task illumination with a controlled beam; colour rendering is CRI 80.

Designed for direct installation onto flat ceilings, the Lynx is rated IP20 and intended for dry interior spaces. The integrated LED provides the light source; driver details are not specified. The fitting carries a three-year manufacturer warranty.

At Lighting Design Online we position the Lynx as a calm, practical tool for considered lighting schemes a precise accent spotlight that supports layers of light rather than competing with them. Our guidance focuses on achieving balanced ambience and reliable outcomes, with clear technical notes to support specification and project work.
