The Astro Montparnasse Outdoor Pendant is a weatherproof ceiling light from Astro’s Montparnasse range, designed with clear maritime cues and a utilitarian, lantern-like silhouette for outdoor and transitional spaces such as porches and covered patios.

Its form pairs a cylindrical clear glass enclosure with a rounded dome base and a wide, slightly downsloping metal brim. A slender metal frame creates a protective caged aesthetic, and the fitting is suspended by a metal chain with the electrical cord interwoven through the links. The metalwork is finished in a dark, weathered bronze style.

The construction combines clear glass with a metal cage and loop-top suspension, offering a robust, considered profile suitable for exterior mounting. The clear glass and open cage make the internal lamp a visible feature, reinforcing the lantern-like, industrial character of the fitting.

The clear glass allows near 360-degree light distribution from an internal filament-style lamp, making the pendant effective for general ambient illumination over entrances, seating areas and covered walkways. Its open shade means the choice of lamp will affect glare and warmth, so select a bulb appropriate to the desired atmosphere and task.

The fitting carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water and comes with a three-year guarantee for exterior installations, with exclusions for sites within five miles of the coast or in high-salt environments. Check the product technical details for recommended lamp type, maximum wattage and any dimming compatibility before installation.
